As far as I'm concerned there is no division between "abstraction" and "realism". The fact that we individually look at a world in constant flux makes any distinction between the two irrelevant. When it comes to art, the point is to open up an experience of the senses and emotions -which comes in all forms.

Amen! I get a lot of inspiration from looking at things under a microscope... it really gives you perspective on "realism" vs. "abstraction"! Waves can be particles and particles can be waves, it's all perspective.
ReplyDeleteAutumn -Thank you for your comment and subscribing to my blog! Hopefully you'll find some inspiration here. Maybe I should invest in a good microscope -or a good telescope for that matter! There are whole adventures right under our noses.
